Dated on Renaissance - Lower Castle of Rożnów is one of first polish fortress castles build in modern defensive fortification style. It has been built by Jan Amor Tarnowski about 1568. Building was destroyed in 18th century. Today we can only see it's remains, among other things the bastion and ramparts with main gate. Castle's buildings functioned as defensive fortress over time, but there also was a foundry once and an alcohol factory. The castle was never finished.

Wow, first off I just want to say congrats on the DD. I mean you clearly deserve it I love how the tunnel has depth which really catches your eye. Well, at least they did for mine. Also, the vivid tones of green stand out very well against the brown ground and tunnel which, in a way, makes the tunnel look even longer. I think the shadows around different areas of the tunnel add depth too. There's also the mysterious looking figure at the end of the tunnel which makes this photo more interesting and dramatic - which I quite like.
I'm really in love with the whole composition of this photo: the colours, the details in the tunnel bricks, and the depth - I think that's the main reason I stopped scrolling on the DD page and clicked on this photo
This is absolutely amazing. I don't know much about photography (music is actually my thing) but I can tell you that a non-photographer will enjoy it. I feel really compelled to walk through it. Looking at it, it feels a teeny bit off center, but that's only because I've been staring at it for quite some time. Perhaps it's just an illusion of being taking off axis from the entrance.
I really enjoy that the exit looks over-saturated, it really does make it look like a portal.
On to what I don't like: I really feel that those shorts and that shirt take away from the mysteriousness of the photo. Long robes would have been cheap, but I feel that the wardrobe choice could have been a little more thought out.
Final slightly off topic comment: On the other side of this, is there an abandoned theme park?
